LAHORE: Pakistani auto parts industry has great Exports potential and can grab international markets, especially India and the European Union with the government attention.
This was stated by former Pakistan Association of Automotive Parts and Accessories Manufactures (PAAPAM) chairman Syed Nabeel Hashmi. He called upon the government to take special measures to promote automotive industry which could help enhance auto parts export up to five billion dollar annually.
Talking to media, the ex-Paapam head referred to the recently held Pakistan Auto Parts Show at the Expo Centre Lahore, stressing the need for holding more shows for auto articles so that local as well foreign buyers could learn about the quality of Pakistani engineering products, which were exportable.
Such shows will also help the manufacturers get a fair chance to come across potential buyers to bolster the auto sector, he added.
Nabeel said that as much as 162-auto and vending industry related companies from Germany, Taiwan, India and China had established stalls at the mega Pakistan Auto Parts Show.
