KARACHI: Four ships CV Al-Bahia, CV Washington, MT GEW Future and MT Black Pearl-110 carrying containers palm oil and LPG were berthed at Qasim International Container Terminal, Liquid Cargo Terminal and Engro Vopak Terminal respectively.
Meanwhile six more ships carrying containers, phospharic acid, furnace oil and LPG also arrive at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.
Berth occupancy was managed at the Port at 53% on Tuesday where a total of eight ships namely C.V Al-Bahia, C.V Washington, C.V MSC Albany, M.V Feariess, M.T GEW Future, M.T Al-Soor-II, M.T Atiantic Glory, M.T Block Pearl-110 were occupied at PQA berths to load/offload containers, palm kernelexp, palm oil, diesel oil, chemicals and LPG respectively during last 24 hours.
A cargo volume of 86,283 tonnes, comprising 85,733 tonnes imports and 27,550 tonnes exports, inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 2,526 containers (TEUs) was handled at the Port during last 24 hours.
DEPARTURES:
Oil tanker ‘Al-Soor-II’ sailed out to sea on Tuesday morning while two more container ships ‘Al-Bahia’ and ‘Washington’ ore expected to sail on same day.
ARRIVAL SCHEDULE:
Four ships C.V Maersk Memphis, C.V SMA CGM Semson, MSC Conti Basel and M.T Quetta carrying containers and furnace oil are expected to take berths at QICT and FOTCO respectively on Tuesday.
