KARACHI: The first consignment of vegetables from Pakistan to UAE via sea route has reached its destination. The first 25 tons consignments of vegetables comprised peppers, lady finger, lemon and other vegetables. After successful sending of first consignment via sea route, now it has been decided to export at least five containers of 25 tons vegetables in a week.
Durrani Associates Chairman A Q Khan Durrani told the media that the first consignments has reached Dubai and after positive response from UAE authorities, now it has been decided to export five consignments in a week. He said that the vegetables exported from Pakistan remain fresh for 40 days and it is achievement of Pakistan that green vegetables can be kept fresh for 40 days.
