HELSINKI: The turnover of large enterprises declined in June 2015, according to Statistics Finland’s preliminary data. Seasonally adjusted turnover decreased in June by 0.2 per cent compared with May. The seasonally adjusted turnover of large enterprises was 0.8 per cent in May while in April 0.6 per cent lower than in the preceding month as per the data. The turnover of large enterprises not adjusted for seasonal variation fell by 1.8 per cent in June 2015 compared with June2014.

In January to June, the turnover of large enterprises declined by 3.3 per cent from the corresponding period last year, the statistics show. The turnover estimate of large enterprises is based on a sample formed of 2,000 enterprises with the most significant turnover in manufacturing, construction, trade and other service industries. Excluded from the statistics are enterprises engaged in primary production, and bank and insurance activities.
