FAISALABAD: Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FCCI) President Muhammad Nawaz urged for extension in date for filling returns under Voluntary Tax Compliance (VTC) Scheme 2016.
In a statement issued here, he said, VTC Scheme was devised to entertain hundred percent demands of the business community particularly the small traders.
He mentioned that during his recent visit to the chamber (FCCI), Prime Minister Advisor for Revenue Haroon Akhtar Khan had assured to meet all demands of the business community therefore there was no justification to oppose the scheme.
He said the business community is appreciative of good gesture of the government particularly of Haroon Akhtar Khan. He said many businessmen are unable to file their returns before February 29 last date to file returns.
FCCI Chief urged that the last date for filing returns should be extended for at least two months so that maximum traders could file their returns under this new scheme.
