KARACHI: Chief Collector (South) Enforcement Muhammad Yayha said that Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has collected all the relevant details and record of the imported arms and ammunition for last three years in order to present it in the next hearing of missing containers case in Supreme Court, Karachi Registry on November 25 (Monday).
Muhammad Yahya while Talking to Customs Today gave full credit to Supreme Court, particularly its Bench No.1 comprising Chief Justice Ifthikar Muhammad Chaudhry and Justice S. Khawaja, for hearing missing containers case and ordering FBR to gather solid evidences in the case.
Replying to a question, Chief Collector (Enforcement) said that the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) is working in a well-coordinated manner in order to eliminate the menace of smuggling from the country.
“The IATF is functioning effectively, which was never witnessed in the past, as all Law Enforcing Agencies (LEAs) are now on the same page for removal of drugs smuggling”, Chief Collector added.
