ISLAMABAD: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) asked Large Taxpayers Units (LTU) and Regional Taxpayers Office (RTO) Islamabad to provide all details of pending cases related to wealth taxes and tax cases involving more than Rs100 million of revenue, it is learnt here.
Official sources told Customs Today that the board has sent letters to LTU and RTO Islamabad and directed them to provide details of all the pending wealth tax cases and tax related cases. This information will further be shared with Islamabad High Court, sources confirmed.
Sources said that the board has also directed in its letter that if the field formation lacking any information related to concern party address or other related information then the field formation will have to consult with National Database & Registration Authority (NADRA).
In its letter the board also informed the Chief Commissioner that Islamabad High Court has the intention to establish a separate bench for early judgments of the cases and for this purpose the board has required details of tax related cases, sources confirmed.
