FBR directs all regional offices to take stern safety measures

ISLAMABAD: Owing to the current security concerns, Federal Board of Revenue on the directives of Chairman Tariq Bajwa has directed all offices including Regional Tax Offices, Large Taxpayers Units, Customs Houses and Dry ports to take strict measures for ensuring safety of the offices.

Entry of visitors into FBR Headquarters in Islamabad has been restricted to a particular limit. Rules and regulations are strictly followed.

In a letter written to all the offices of FBR, Secretary S&M has stated that taking into consideration the current state of security, all the offices should reinforce the security measures.

It has been advised through the letter that the security checks for visitors and strangers/unconcerned persons should be made stricter.

Through the new security measures, visitors for officers of Grade-20 and above have been directed to receive schedule for the meeting in advance. Those wanting to meet randomly will only be able to do so if the officer concerned allows it.

The letter has advised the offices that instructions should be acted upon rigorously.
