ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has decided to put the names of 110 non-taxpayers on the Exit Control List (ECL), Customs Today has learnt.
Sources said that FBR will take action against those taxpayers, who did not pay taxes in years 2012, 13 and 14. In the first phase, FBR has directed all RTOs to take stern action against non-taxpayers. In the second stage, FBR will send letters to the Interior Ministry for putting their names on ECL.
It is important to mention here that the number of non-taxpayers in the terms of sales tax is 70,000 during the current fiscal year. FBR will include 25,000 tax evaders in blacklist till December 2015, those who are defaulters of more than Rs 50,000, sources added.
