FAISALABAD: Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation Faisalabad Range Office has impounded miscellaneous goods worth Rs 40 million during the month of January of on-going fiscal year 2018-19.
Deputy Director Customs Intelligence and Investigation Rana Irfan Shouqat conducted various anti-smuggling operations against smuggled goods and vehicles on the directions of Director General Zahid Khokhar.
During the above said period Customs Intelligence teams detected 6 seizure cases. Field Intelligence Unit of Sargodha has formed two seizure cases of foreign origin plastic and glassware crockery 3000 kilograms worth Rs1,20,0000. Foreign origin plastic glassware 1000 kilograms worth Rs1,00,0000. Customs Intelligence and Investigation enhanced monitoring of the goods and vehicles to curtail smuggling.
Customs Intelligence and Investigation Faisalabad has seized two smuggled generators 1200 KVA and 1500 KVA, artificial leather 622 kilograms worth Rs622000 involving duty taxes 415000 Indian zeera 1320 kilograms worth Rs1,32,0000 involving duty and taxes to the tune of Rs8,80,000 in their anti-smuggling actions in the region to restrain smuggling.
Deputy Director Rana Irfan Shouqat has enhanced cooperation with other law enforcement agencies to curb the menace of smuggling.
