FAISALABAD: The Model Customs Collectorate Auction cell generate Rs15.783 million through the public auction of confiscated vehicles and miscellaneous goods during the first three months ( January-March ) of Fiscal Year 2107.
Sources told Customs Today that during first three months of fiscal year 2017-18 the auction cell collected handsome revenue through auctions of non duty paid vehicles and smuggled goods adding that the customs stations which falls under the jurisdiction of Customs Faisalabad includes Sargodha, Sara e Muhajir, Mainwali, Jhang seized the smuggled items brought into Country without payment of customs duty and taxes and Faisalabad held auctions of smuggled goods and vehicles separately but all the revenue collection transferred in the account of MCC Faisalabad at the end.
Faisalabad Customs conducted auction of non customs paid vehicles and miscellaneous goods in the Customs green park at the Gate stage. There were sale different models of vehicles and others large Number of Smuggled goods presented in the auction of Customs for public sale. People from various cities have participated in the auction for purchase of goods and vehicles.
Sources said that during the above said period MCC Faisalabad collected revenue of Rs2.950 million in January, auction cell collected revenue of Rs2.321 million in February and collected revenue of Rs10.512 million through auctions in March. Furthermore, that customs collectorate already expedited their efforts to collect outstanding amount from defaulters.
Deputy Collector Rana Falik Shair will supervised the public sale of non customs paid vehicles and goods to ensure transparency.
