FAISALABAD: The Customs Collectorate has collected Rs 10690.323 million during the four month (January-April) of fiscal year 2018 against the set target of Rs 13922.63 million.
Sources told to Customs Today, that Customs Appraisement collected revenue under the heads of customs duty (CD), sales tax (ST), income tax (IT) and federal excise duty (FED) during the above said period.
According to revenue statistics, the Customs Appraisement collected Rs2984.820 million under the share of customs duty (CD) against the set target of Rs 3998.82 million in first four month 2018.
The Collectorate collected Rs7594.174 million under the head of sales tax during the said period against the set target of Rs 7490.07 million.
Faisalabad Appraisement collected Rs111.089 million in wake of income tax during the said period against the set target of Rs 112.82 million.
The Collectorate collected revenue of Rs241 million in share of federal excise duty (FED) against the assigned target of Rs 1.94 million.
It is pertinent to mention here that that Collector Mirza Mubashir Baig is quite satisfied with the performance of the Collectorate in connection with the revenue collection during the last year of the first Four months of the fiscal year 2017. while he stressed the authorities concerned of the Collectorate to further expedite the pace of revenue generation for getting more effective results.
