ISLAMABAD: The Model Customs Collectorate (Exports) has made mandatory the submission of ‘Form-E’ certified by authorised foreign exchange dealers for all exports.
According to the notification 1/2014, the submission of ‘Form-E’ duly certified by authorised foreign exchange dealer is mandatory for all exports from Pakistan at the time of filing of Goods Declarations (GDs) for export.
The circular said that submission of certified ‘Form-E’ was not being complied in letter and spirit and instances of fake ‘Form-E’ numbers indicated on online GDs had come to the notice which was liable for a stern legal action. Moreover, non-submission of ‘Form-E’ created problems in reconciliation with banks. Therefore, it is reiterated for the information and guidance of exporters as well as their clearing agents that uploading of ‘Form-E’ duly certified by commercial banks of the exporter is a mandatory requirement for online filing of GDs for export. The hard copy of ‘Form-E’ should be submitted with the respective export terminal operator without fail.
