PESHAWAR: Director General (DG) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Revenue Authority (KPRA) Sardar Aminullah Khan reiterated his pledged to an open door policy to assist and benefit the taxpayers.
Addressed a meeting at Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KPCCI) here, he expressed the resolve to transform the KP Revenue Authority into a model organisation.
KPRA Directors – Ms Farida Amjad and Abdul Siddique and Customs Collector (Appeals) Sher Shah Khan were also present on the occasion.
On the occasion, the speakers underscored the importance of awareness of taxpayers about the tax obligations and role of trade bodies in this regards. The KPRA DG also seeking the Chamber’s role in augmenting the authority’s efforts to financing the development of the province from its own resources.
He highlighted salient features of the administrative structure and tax policy of the province regarding Sales Tax on Services, being collected by KPRA. The DG also explained the processes and system being run in automated environment for collecting sales tax on services in the province.
The issues of jurisdiction over services and apportionment of the revenue confronted to the authority by the FBR and other provincial revenue agencies of Sind and Punjab on account of inter-provincial trade and location of Head Offices of most of the multinational companies, Banks and Telecom companies etc were also discussed.
Earlier, KP Chamber of Commerce President Zahid Shinwari and other office bearers also spoke on the occasion. They welcomed the visit of the officers of KPRA and assured their support to the authority.
