KARACHI: Directorate-General of Customs Valuation has determined customs values of LED decoration strip lights (Christmas), rice, festival, madni, larris lights PCT (9405.3000) are determined as follows:-
Earlier, Customs values of LED decoration strip lights, Christmas, rice, festival, madni, larris lights were determined through Valuation Ruling No. 1158/2017 dated 10.6.2017. The FBR issued CGO No. 15/2019 and 19.9.2019 respectively wherein Unit of Measurement (UOM) of a number of commodities including LED decoration strip lights (Christmas), rice, festival, madni, larris lights PCT (9405.3000) was changed from kilograms to unit (per piece) for the purpose of assessment.
Moreover, a number of representations were received in Directorate-General of Customs Valuation that the values of subject goods in international market have shown upward trend which requires re-determination of values.
Keeping in view the above facts, an exercise to determine the customs values of the subject goods under Section 25-A of the Customs Act, 1969.
Meeting with stakeholders was held on 5.11.2019 which was attended by different stakeholders and importers were requested to submit following documents before or during the course of meeting so that customs values could be determined:
i. Invoices of imports during last three months showing customs value.
ii Websites, names and e-mail addresses of known foreign manufacturers of the item in question through which the actual current value can be ascertained.
iii. Copies of contracts made/LCs opened during the last three months showing the value of item in question.
vi. Copies of sales tax invoices issued during the last four months showing the difference in price (excluding duty and taxes) to substantiate their contentions.
