ISLAMABAD: Directorate General Post Clearance Audit Islamabad is facing acute shortage of staff and therefore directorate performance is likely to be affected.
According to the sources, Director Post Clearance Audit Dr. Kamal Azhar Minhas has informed Chief Management Customs Federal Board of Revenue through a letter regarding severe shortage of the staff.
Dr Kamal informed the FBR that currently the PCA has only one deputy director against the sanctioned strength of four assistant and deputy directors. The only posted officer Nauman Tashfeen, Deputy Director (BS-18) is also proceeding to Multan Customs Collectorate . The Directorate General of Post Clearance Audit, Islamabad, therefore will have to function without an assistant director.
He said that current situation directly affecting the working and efficiency of the office. More graver is the situation regarding positions of Assistant Director (Audit) and (IRAO), Principle Apprasier, examiner, superintendent, deputy superintendent, Valuation Officer and appraiser, inspector and senior auditor as against seventeen (17) sanctioned posts of all cadres, only one appraising officer is posted.
This has brought the working of the Directorate General to a halt. In view of urgency it is requested that Assistant and Deputy Directors and Audit staff may be posted to PCA at the earliest so that this office can carry out its work efficiency.
