ISLAMABAD: Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar here on Wednesday presided over a meeting of Finance Ministry officials to discuss his forthcoming visit to the USA where he would be holding bilateral meetings with a view to seek enhancement in overall Pak-US economic cooperation.
These meetings are likely to take place in US Treasury, US State Department as well as USAID. Finance Secretary, Dr Waqar Masood on this occasion briefed the minister about the current profile of the Pak-US cooperation in various areas. He also updated the minister about implementation of decisions in the last meeting of Pak-US Economic Working group.
The next meeting of the Pak-US Economic Working Group is expected later this year. The Economic Working Group discusses Pak-US cooperation for economic development encompassing finance, trade and economy. The Finance Minister would also discuss with the US side, details about the meeting of the Economic Working group during his visit.
