COPENHAGEN: Danish Customs police stated that they have charged 3 smugglers with the attempted smuggling and distribution of 200 kilograms of cocaine in Denmark, worth at least 43.5 million kroner ($8 million), in an operation with U.S. agents.
Customs Police spokesman Ole Madsen says the suspects were German, Colombian and Danish, but did not provide more information on their identities. Madsen said Friday that the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration helped Danish officers track the movements and plans of the suspects.
