MEXICO: Over the weekend, Customs and Border Protection arrested two Mexican men for their alleged attempts to sneak a combined 193 pounds of heroin and meth into the United States.
The first bust was on Friday when officers caught Sinuel Gonzalez-Dominguez, 34, of Nogales, Sonora, Mexico, with $465,000 worth of meth in a cucumber shipment.
On Sunday, Edwin Elevier Lara-Ruiz, 20, of Nogales, Sonora, Mexico, was busted with $276,000 worth of drugs in his vehicle.
CBP officers seized all drugs and vehicles and turned both suspects over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations.
