LAHORE: Collectorate of Customs Preventive has collected Rs 8593 million revenue including all duty and taxes during the first four months of financial year 2016-17.
Sources told Customs Today that the Collectectrate collected Rs 2345 million under the head of customs duty while collecting Rs7 million additional as compared to the same period the last financial year 2015-16 while the Collectorate collected Rs 3780 on account of sales taxes during the period under review against Rs 4240 million during the same period last financial year.
The Collectoarte also collected Rs 2365 million on account of withholding tax (WHT) during the period under review against the collection of Rs 2608 million under the head of sales taxes collected during same period last financial year.
The Collectorate also collected excise and taxation duty (FED) of Rs 46 million during the first four months of the period under review while Rs 33 million were collected on account of FED during the same period of last financial year.
Over all the Collectorate collected Rs 8593 million including all the taxes during the period under review against the collection of Rs 9229 million during the first four month of last financial year.
Sources told that Collector of Customs Preventive Zulfiqar Younas has issued strict instructions to all the officers working at all the stations that comes under the control of Preventive collectorate to do their best to collected revenue in order to achieve financial year targets.
The sources said that the collector has been monitoring the collection status on daily basis and meeting with the concerned officers the all station in Lahore.
