PESHAWAR: The Customs Police foiled a bid of smuggling of mobile phones at the Jinnah International Airport on Friday.
According to sources, the Customs officials searched the bags of a passenger and recovered 1200 mobiles phones. The sources added that all the parts of phones were kept in the bags filled with clothes and other things of daily use.
When bags were searched, mobile phones were recovered which were of different models. The phones were dismantled into parts in a very smart manner.
The customs authorities took the mobile phones into custody and registered a case against the smuggler.
An investigation was underway. The smuggler has been shifted to police station.
