ISLAMABAD: Lutfullah Virk, director general of the Customs Intelligence and Investigation, has issued directions to probe against the excise and taxation officials for their alleged involvement in bogus documentation of non-duty paid cars case, sources said.
“Coordination will be increased with the relevant police stations in this regard. The Customs Intelligence and Investigation officials will take stern action against non-duty paid cars with the help of police,” they said.
Chief Justice of Pakistan Nasirul Mulk has also issued orders to take action against such cars. Seized vehicles have been sent to customs warehouses. It is revealed during action that a group of affluent people was hand in glove with government officials.
