ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Customs Intelligence and Investigation of Rawalpindi region has failed an attempt to smuggle foreign origin smuggled ladies cloths during operation.
According to the details, the Customs Intelligence and Investigation Rawalpindi intercepted a Toyota Corolla bearing Registration No. NU-483 in its jurisdiction for a routine checking.
While checking the vehicle, the intelligence team recovered almost 4,900 yards of ladies cloth worth Rs 1.4 million. The team asked the driver to produce the documents regarding the legal import of the cloth but he remained fail to do so on which customs confiscated the cloth.
Customs Intelligence and Investigation has lodged First Investigation Report against the accused while further investigation is underway in this regard.
