ISLAMABAD: Collectorate of Customs Additional Collector Ashfaq Khan said that the Collectorate fetched 6 percent extra revenue against allocated target during July to April FY2018-19 while received 13 percent extra revenue against same period of corresponding financial year.
Talking with Customs Today, Additional Collector Ashfaq Khan said that during first 10 months (July to April FY18-19) the Collectorate received Rs20132.04 million against allocated revenue collection target of Rs17306 million. He said that the Collectorate received Rs17851.77 million against assigned revenue collection target of Rs15559.23 million during July to April FY17-18.
Ashfaq Khan said that during first 10 months the Collectorate showed 9% extra growth under head of Customs Duty (CD), 9% under head of Sales Tax (ST), 30% under head of Income Tax (IT) while showed 20% extra revenue collection under head of Federal Excise Duty (FED) against same corresponding period of last FY.
He informed that the MCC Islamabad showed extra revenue collection of 6% under head of CD, 26% under head of ST, 8% under head of IT and demonstrated 5% under head of FED against allocated revenue collection target for July to April FY18-19.
Giving the details of fetched revenue collection during 10 months, he said that Collectorate received Rs 6610.82 million under head of CD, Rs 8963.01 million under head of ST, Rs 3874.63 million under head of IT as well as the MCC received Rs 683.59 million under head of FED during July to April FY18-9.
He added that this all happened with extra efforts and guidance of the Chief Collector North Asif Jah and Collector MCC Islamabad Seema Raza Bokhari along with efforts of all staff and officers of Islamabad dry port (IDP), Air Freight Unit (AFU) and MCC headquarters. This effort will continue during rest of the months of current financial year, he concluded.
