KARACHI: The Customs Court sent suspects namely Shah Nawaz son of Nazeer Ahmed and Muhammad Bilal Haider son of Muhammad Nawaz Abid to Pakistan Coast Guards on physical remand, who were booked in a case of attempting to smuggled non duty paid 10 numbers 9mm Pistols etc.
On November 05, 2018, Muhammad Humayun, investigation officer produced the above mentioned accused before the court and informed that on an actionable information, officials of Pakistan Coast Guards intercepted a Daewoo coach bearing registration number LES-1720 and found 10 9mm pistols and its magazines from a cartons.
He further informed the court that during the search, accused persons were asked to produce lawful documents, however, they failed to produce any lawful documents, therefore, officials taken accused into custody and goods also were seized.
He court may be remanded to Pakistan Coast Guards up to 14th November 2018 for further investigation and to find the other convenience of the culprit.
After the hearing, court granted his request and sent them to physical remand and directed investigation officer to produce them on next date of hearing along with progress report.
According to the prosecution, case was registered against them for violation of under Section 2 (s) and 16, 156 (1) (8) (89) and 157 of the Customs Act, 1969.
