LAHORE: The Special Federal Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling handed over accused Majid Ali to Customs Investigation & Prosecution team for two days more for interrogation in a case of smuggling of huge quantity of air conditioners.
According to details accused was produced before the court by customs team where they asked for extension of his physical remand for three days but the special judge of customs court Khaqan Babar approved his two days physical remand.
Earlier last week a team of the Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation has recovered a hue quantity of non-duty paid air conditioners from a warehouse in area of Daroghawala Lahore.
Sources said that Director Customs Intelligence and Investigation received information that a warehouse in Daroghawala is full of smuggled air conditioners which is owned by a company namely Tanveer and sons.
