MULTAN: The Special Federal Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling adjourned hearing of pre-arrest bails of two accused involved in smuggling of foreign origin LTV tyres.
According to details, Multan Customs Anti-Smuggling Organization team recovered Rs12 million of non-customs paid light traffic vehicles (LTV) tyres in two successful raids at a private warehouses.
Multan Customs raided two different warehouses on credible information that huge quantity of smuggled tyres was dumped near Nawan Shehar Chowk Multan.
Customs anti-smuggling squad recovered huge quantity of 1500 tyres and their rims during their action. Recovered Light Traffic Vehicles Tyres were old and new brands of different variety .
Customs Investigation and Prosecution teams lodged criminal case FIR no.3/19 against two suspects Wahid Baksh and Muhammad Naveed during investigation.
Customs teams said two suspects involved in the smuggling of Light Traffic Vehicles (LTV) tyres. The case was registered against them on 20 January 2018 on the basis of evidence’s. Both accused file pre-arrest bail in the Special Customs court and also submitted relevant record of tyres. The Special Judge after hearing their application adjourned the case till 25 February 2015 for further proceedings of case. The pre-arrest bail application will be finalized on 25th February 2019.
