PESHAWAR: The Custom Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) recovered huge quantity of smuggled items worth of Rs1322.7 million in the last three months up to October 31
As per the statistics the ASO also recovered food grains 6118 kilogram with worth of Rs9.21 million and in head of tea the ASO seized 27023 kilogram with worth of 12.24 million rupee. The anti-smuggling units also thwarted attempt of 12000 tyrs worth of Rs10.2 million and auto parts value of Rs60.6 million.
The Collectorate seized 135 vehicle U/S 157 worth of Rs210 million and 45 vehicle U/S16 worth Rs90 million while cloth of foreign origin 15000 yards worth of Rs300 million. Similarly the Collectorate, seized poppy seeds of Rs0.3 million arms with ammunition of worth Rs3 million while in head of currency the house generated Rs5million.
Besides this pirated CDs of 178000 rupees, toiletries 234200 kilogram, mobile phone and accessories worth 30.7 million rupees recovered.
The ASO also recovered cooking oil and miscellaneous goods of Rs27 million.
In head narcotics the performance of ASO seized narcotics of Rs15.18 million deferment operation. The overall performance of the ASO was much better against the target as it has intensified the operation against smuggling.
Similarly the organization also seized liquor 18054 bottles worth of Rs3.6 million and mineral coal 60121 kilogram. The ASO also seized gold and platinum 14026 gram worth of Rs40.6 million in last three months. Beside this the ASO also seized cigarette 18600 danda with worth Rs30.21 million and electronic goods worth Rs90.3 million recovered in various crackdowns.
