LAHORE: Collectorate of Customs Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) had recovered over Rs 13. 50 million non-customs paid welding roads from Brandreth Road.
Sources told Customs Today, that Collector Customs Preventive Ahmad Rauf received credible information from his sources that huge quantity of non-customs paid welding rods are dumped in a godown located at Brendreth Road. He immediately constituted an anti-smuggling squad.
Sources told that anti-The anti-smuggling squad that the raid was one of biggest Customs authorizes have undertaken in Brandreth Road. As per sources Customs authorities raided godown owned by M/s Alnoor Traders godown and recovered the huge quantity of illegally imported welding roads.
The Customs Authorities seizing the roads have started furthers investigation.
It is necessary to mention here that Collector Ahmad Rauf directed all anti-smuggling squad to adopt zero tolerance policy against smuggled goods. He strictly directed that anyone who found involved in smuggling should be dealt with iron hands and as per law.
