MULTAN: Collectorate of Customs Appraisement recovery branch has issued recovery notice to M/s Carolina Fabrics Pvt Limited for payment of their outstanding dues worth Rs1.080 million.
Sources told Customs Today that Customs Collectorate Appraisement has started crackdown against defaulters for recovery of the outstanding government dues to meet assigned revenue task for the economic year 2019-20 on the directions of Collector Saima Shehzad.
The Customs recovery branch of Multan Dry Port has issued recovery notice against the defaulter by appointing recovery Officer Assistant Collector Beenish Rasheed.
Assistant Collector has appointed Superintendent Ehtisham-ul-Haq of Multan Dry Port as an attachment officer for collection of duty and taxes from said defaulters. Recovery officer has been given special directives for recovery of government taxes in terms of rule 133 and 151 of the Customs Rule 2001 with section 202 of the Customs Act 1969.
M/s Carolina Fabrics Pvt Ltd is located in the 488 Mumtazabad Vehari road Multan areas in the jurisdiction of Customs Colloctorate Appraisement.
It is also pertinent to mention here that the Multan Customs recovery branch has issued several notices to defaulters for payment of their outstanding amount but they have not paid yet. Customs Appraisement is taking strict action for the recovery of default amount from defaulters to meet the assigned revenue task of on-going economic year 2019-20.
