MULTAN: Collectorate of Customs Adjudication Multan Camp Office finalized 61 seizure cases involving Rs207.785 million during the month of July 2020-21.
According to details, Customs Adjudication Multan Camp Office disposed 61 different cases framed by Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) and Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation. Customs Adjudication has issued Order-in-Original (ONO) in 61 seizure cases after completion of legal proceedings on the basis of presented facts.
Deputy Collector Customs Adjudication Multan Abdul Mueed Kanjoo settled 31 various seizure cases of worth Rs16.616 million throughout July after concluding legal proceedings.
Deputy collector settled all seizure cases in favour of Customs department. Almost 10 fresh seizure cases of Rs6.083 million have been added in the month of August in the Customs Adjudication.
Additional Collector Adjudication Sumaira Omer decided 18 seizure cases of worth Rs.33.019 million throughout the month of August 2020-21.
Additional Collector has concluded all said seizure cases in the favor of Customs after observing facts during trial in July. Near about 5 new seizure cases of Rs.10.800 million were added for trial in the court of Additional Collector Adjudication during July.
Collector Adjudication Dr. Muhammad Akhtar Hussain settled 12 different seizure cases of worth Rs158.150 million for the duration of August.
All these seizure cases were decided in the favor of Customs department. These decided seizures were against violation of rule, smuggling, misuse of DTRE export facility cases and others. As many as 3 different seizure cases of worth Rs.33 million was added during said month for legal trial.
