Customs Adjudication settles 46 seizure cases worth Rs167.702m

MULTAN: Collectorate of Customs Adjudication Multan Camp Office finalized 46 seizure cases involving Rs167.702 million during the month of August 2020-21.

The Collectorate disposed 46 different cases framed by Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) and Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation. Customs Adjudication Multan Camp Office has issued Order-in-Original (ONO) in 46 seizure cases after completion of legal proceedings on the basis of presented facts.

Deputy Collector Customs Adjudication Multan Abdul Mueed Kanjoo settled 16 seizure cases of worth Rs11.572 million throughout August. Deputy collector settled all seizure cases in favour of Customs department for the duration of August. Almost 10 fresh seizure cases of Rs7.720 million have been added in the month of August in the Customs Adjudication.

Additional Collector Adjudication Sumaira Omer decided 17 seizure cases of worth Rs31.250 million throughout the month of August 2020-21.Additional Collector has concluded all said seizure cases in the favor of Customs after observing facts during trial in August. Near about 13 new seizure cases of Rs.10.800 million were added for trial in the court of Additional Collector Adjudication during August.

Collector Adjudication Asif Buzdar settled 13 seizure cases of worth Rs124.880 million for the duration of August. All these seizure cases were decided in the favor of Customs department. These decided seizures were against violation of rule, smuggling, misuse of DTRE export facility cases and others. As many as 12 different seizure cases of worth Rs.136.091 million was added during said month for legal trial.
