FAISALABAD: The Customs Adjudication adjourned hearing of 52 seizure cases worth Rs 73.211 million during November 2017.
According to the details, Customs Adjudication Collector Muhammad Asif has adjourned hearing of 5 cases worth Rs 12.374 million pertaining to the seizures of various items. The cases were made by customs authorities. The collector directed the owners of seized goods and their counsel to present their arguments in next hearing.
Furthermore, Additional Collector Muhammad Saeed Asad adjourned hearing of 19 cases worth Rs 48.166 million, while Deputy Collector Sauna Ayyaz adjourned 28 cases involving Rs 12.671 million.
Most of the adjourned seizure cases were detected and registered by the Customs Intelligence and Investigation while few cases were made by the Anti Smuggling Organization (ASO) Faisalabad.
The seizure cases pertaining to smuggled vehicles mobile phones, kerosene oil, tyres tubes, and auto parts were heard by the Customs Adjudication.
