MULTAN: The Customs Adjudications have adjourned the misdeclaration case of imported chemicals until 20th April.
Collector Customs Adjudication has adjourned the misdeclaration of Rs 7 million after hearing. The Commander Agro Company had imported several consignments of zinc sulphate monohydrate for manufacturing of feed grade. But they had found 400 bags of lambda-cyhalothrin out of 800 bags instead of declared import chemical zinc sulphate.
The price of lambda-cyhalothrin was $36 per kg while the price of zinc sulphate monohydrate was $23 per kg. The company tried to evade Customs duty tax of Rs 7 million through misdeclaration.
During the chemical examination it was found that the accused company has misdeclared the import. It declared chemical zinc sulphate monohydrate instead of lambda-cyhalothrin. Dry Port Multan detected the misdeclaration of chemical import from Commander Agro Pvt Limited during laboratory examination.
On this hearing the Multan dry port authorities have submitted the comments in response of the allegedly accused Commander Agro Company during proceeding.The further proceeding of the case will resume on 20th April.
