Accused Shaikh Abdul Wajid and his son Atayab Shaikh were arrested for smuggling and dumping of non-duty paid banned refrigeration gases and its disposal in counterfeit cylinders of renowned brands.
The I&I-FBR seized refrigeration gas in counterfeit cylinders of assorted sizes as well as foreign-origin chemical, hand-made screen printing plates, blocks and stencils.
The accused, on ad-interim pre-arrest bail, were present in the court on Tuesday along with their counsel. The special public prosecutor also showed up. However, IO Khurram Saeed was absent without a prior notice.
