ISLAMABAD: The Customs court could not indict supper model Ayyan Ali in the currency smuggling case.
According to details, Customs Judge Rana Aftab Ahmed heard the case but due to incomplete challan by the customs authorities, the court could not indict the suspect in the currency smuggling case.
On the other hand, Customs intelligence sought permission from authorities concerned to conduct further investigation against Ayyan. The cCourt asked Customs authorities to present a complete challan on the next hearing. The judge also ordered the customs officials to record complete statements of witnesses — Owais and Mumtaz — and fulfill the legal requirements with regard to a petition filed in the Lahore High Court in connection with the arrest of the two men. The court adjourned the hearing until September 15.
It is important to mention here, that this was the third time for Ayyan Ali to appear in the court after she was granted bail from the LHC Rawalpindi branch.
