KARACHI: The Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) of Appraisement-West Collector Muhammad Saleem has directed the Collectorate to prepare an “Appraisers’ Manual” in order to evaluate the performance of the officials and to ease streamlining their assignments.
Sources informed Customs Today that the Collector Muhammad Saleem has assigned the task to all five additional collectors (ADCs) of the Collectorate to provide their in-puts in order to prepare the Appraisers’ Manual and keep in touch with each other in this regard.
The sources further said that the preparation of “Appraisers Manuel” would be important as each and every information related to trade and Customs would be inducted in it.
They further revealed that the Collector MCC Appraisement-West Muhammad Saleem has issued directives in this regard while keeping the facilitation of the trade in front, adding that the authorities concerned have started working to formulate the “Appraiser Manual”.
“The ADCs have issued directives to their subordinates to collect the public notices and office orders of the previous years with a view to form an effective “Appraisers’ Manuel”, sources added.
To a query, the sources disclosed that the “Appraisers’ Manuel” would be completed in a month and the Collector MCC-Appraisement (West) will also convene a meeting in this regard in upcoming week
