KARACHI: The Karachi Stock Exchange benchmark 100-index gained 332.24 points or 1.02 percent to reach 32842.59 points and volume of 139,203,500 shares on Wednesday.
In midday trading, KSE comes out of bearish trend as 100-index added 255 points to take the tally to 32765.46 level.
Earlier, the KSE witnessed positive note in trading when it opened as 100-index gained 44 points to reach 32554.75 level, with 13,565,650 shares.
On Tuesday, the KSE benchmark 100-index lost 101.60 points or 0.60 percent to drop to 32510.35 points. Total volume traded in the market was 98,527,470 shares with 312 total traded companies out of which 105 were up 183 were down and 24 were unchanged.
Total volume traded in the market was 200,102,590 shares with 346 total traded companies out of which 241 were up 83 were down and 22 were unchanged.
Cement was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 47,490,700 shares. It was followed by Cable and Electrical Goods with a total traded volume of 28,333,700 shares.
The three top traded companies were Pak Elektron with a volume of 27,087,500 and price per share of 67.90 (0.89), Fauji Cement with a volume 20,243,500 of price per share of 33.50 (0.67), Byco Petroleum with a volume 13,960,000 of price per share of 13.82 (0.91).
The top three advancers were Siemens Pak. with price per share 1106.39 (47.39), Indus Motor CoXD with price per share of 1191.27 (46.21) and Pak Tobacco share of 892.64 (36.94).
The top three decliners were Indus Dyeing with price per share of 883.33 (-16.67), Hinopak Motor with price per share of 939.65 (-15.54) and Murree Brewery per share of 910.01 (-9.99).
High and low were 32922.61 and 32464.12 respectively. Total volume traded in the market was 139,203,500 shares.
