KARACHI: The Karachi Stock Exchange benchmark 100-index gained 83.04 points or 0.23 percent to reach 35824.56 points and volume of 101,005,430 shares on Monday.
Earlier, the KSE started flat as 100-index gained 2.44 points to remain at 35743.96 points level, with the total volume of 10,112,950 shares.
Last week, the KSE witnessed higher volatility as rumours regarding SECP taking notice of abnormal activity in small cap stocks created uneasiness in the market. The KSE-100 index closed the week down 0.2pc WoW at 35,741 with average daily volumes clocking in 39pc WoW lower at 403m shares/day.
The top three advancers were Bata (Pak) with price per share 3541.00 (167.83), Colgate Palmolive with price per share of 1577.78 (55.78) and Indus Dyeing share of 1092.00 (52.00).
The top three decliners were Rafhan Maize with price per share of 9675.00 (-275.00), Siemens Pak. with price per share of 1182.50 (-35.16) and Service Ind.Ltd share of 828.03 (-23.12).
High and low were 35839.97 and 35703.25 respectively. Total volume traded in the market was 101,005,430 shares.
