KARACHI: The Karachi Stock Exchange benchmark 100-index gained 18.74 points or 0.06 percent to reach 32617.74 points and volume of 43,633,490 shares on Thursday.
In midday trading, stock exchange remained almost flat as 100-index gained 34.38 points and reach 32633.38 points level.
In early trading, benchmark 100-index Thursday opened with positive note and gained 22.05 points to reach 32621 points level.
On Wednesday, the KSE lost 130.55 points or 0.40 percent to drop to 32599 points and volume of 84,547,700 shares. Total volume traded in the market was 135,621,340 shares with 317 total traded companies out of which 130 were up 158 were down and 29 were unchanged.
Total volume traded in the market was 80,340,830 shares with 322 total traded companies out of which 139 were up 154 were down and 29 were unchanged.
Refinery was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 12,098,300 shares. It was followed by Cable and Electrical Goods with a total traded volume of 5,963,840 shares.
The three top traded companies were Pak Elektron with a volume of 4,773,500 and price per share of 61.96 (0.24), Byco Petroleum with a volume 4,181,000 of price per share of 13.36 (0.07), P.I.A.C.(A) with a volume 3,893,000 of price per share of 9.10 (0.33).
The top three advancers were Indus Dyeing with price per share 880.94 (40.94), Shezan Inter. with price per share of 985.00 (30.00) and Ferozsons (Lab) share of 552.45 (26.30).
The top three decliners were Bata (Pak)XD with price per share of 3228.58 (-162.92), Hinopak Motor with price per share of 1084.95 (-25.82) and Pak Gum & Chem.XD per share of 172.30 (-9.03).
High and Low were 32691.03 and 32556.73 respectively. Total volume traded in the market was 43,633,490 shares.
