BEIJING: Chinese yuan on Tuesday rose by 15 basis points to 6.147 against the US dollar in its central parity rate.
According to the China Foreign Exchange Trading System, the yuan is permitted to to increase or decrease by two percent from the central parity rate each trading day. The central parity rate of the Chinese currency against the American currency is based on a weighted average of prices in market makers before the opening of the inter-bank market each business day.
