ISLAMABAD: Adviser to Prime Minister on Revenue and Economic Affairs Dr. Abdul Hafeez Shaikh presided over a meeting of Cabinet Committee on Privatization (CCoP) today.
During the meeting the participants approved to omit five properties out of 32 government properties selected for privatization. The omitted five properties are located in Islamabad, Lahore and Karachi.
The meeting approved to hand over three properties to Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme(NPHS) and the concerned departments of the remaining two properties will provide alternate properties which will not to be mortgage.
Earlier, Prime Minister Imran Khan has said the government would soon unveil a comprehensive policy to revive the sick industrial units to gear up economic activity and create job opportunities in the country.
He said this at a meeting with the delegation of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industries in Islamabad. He said that country’s economic is moving towards stability.
