VANCOUVER: The annual meeting of the Canadian Ferry Operators Association, which takes place in Vancouver this week, brings together ferry operators and industry leaders to discuss technological innovations, fuel trends, procurement, plans for new builds and refits, and ferries and the federal government including the New Building Canada Plan, tariff on the import of ferries, and more.
The Canadian Ferry Operators Association represents nearly 90% of ferry traffic in Canada. Annually, ferries in Canada move over 55 million people, nearly 19 million vehicles and billions of dollars of goods, said a release.
