WASHINGTON: President of the United States Barack Obama said on Friday his credit card was declined at a New York restaurant during a visit to the United Nations.
“I was there during the General Assembly, and my credit card was rejected,” Obama said and wondered if he had become a victim of identity theft.
“It turned out, I guess I don’t use it enough,” Obama said. Fortunately first lady Michelle Obama had her credit card to pay the bills.
Identity theft is a growing problem and an estimated 100 million Americans have been affected by security breaches in the past year.
