KARACHI: The Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) benchmark 100-index Monday maintained the last week’s bullish momentum and gained 283.60 points or 0.85 per cent to take the tally to 33518.33 points till midday.
The country’s biggest stock market witnessed the highest trading level of 33617.99 points and lowest level of 33234.73 points, total volume of 115,724,860 shares, having Rs7,870,710,034 value.
Earlier, the Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) kicked off another trading week with positive mood and up by 1.07 per cent, gaining 356.40 points to reach 33591.13 points.
Karachi equity market sustained its momentum as 100-index surged by 884 points in the previous week. The bulls dominated trading at Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) and pushed up index by 2.7 percent Week on Week (WoW) to close at 33,234.73 as against 31,413.96 points of previous week’s closing.
Activity at bourse improved considerably as average daily trading volume of improved from 191 million shares in previous week to 227 million shares during current week (up 19 percent on a WoW basis). Foreigners remained net buyers past week, taking fresh positions of worth $7.5 million, mainly concentrated in banks.
