KARACHI: The bullish trend enter fourth consecutive day as the Karachi Stock Exchange benchmark 100-index gained 90.95 points or 0.29 per cent to reach 31223 points, with the total volume of 50,580,850 shares in early trading on Friday.
Karachi stock market, on Thursday, continued recovery after declining by 17pc since it highest ever level of 34,826 on Feb 03. The benchmark KSE-100 index posted a gain of 527.19 points or 1.7 pc to close at 31,132.25 points level.
Continued support from local institutions helped KSE-100 index to rise 4pc in four trading session this week, after falling in 5 continuous weeks earlier. Index posted 1.7pc gain, though volumes of 202m shares (Rs.10.3b/ $103m) remained lower than YTD average of 238m shares (Rs.13.3b/ $133m).
