SAO PAULO: Brazil’s Embraer announced the sale of four Phenom 100E executive jets to Etihad Flight College, a subsidiary of Abu Dhabi-based Etihad Airways.
The agreement includes an option for the purchase of three additional planes of the same model, the world leader in the manufacture of regional jets said.
Embraer said in a statement that the value of seven Phenom 100Es at current prices would be around $30 million.
The four aircraft will be delivered starting in the first quarter of 2016, joining the 16 Phenom 100Es already in the Etihad Flight College fleet.
Etihad Flight College operates in the city of Al Ain, providing training to some 120 pilots from the United Arab Emirates and abroad.
