KARACHI: The world’s leading chemical producer, BASF, has announced €110 million sales in Pakistan at the end of 2015.
According to the company’s statement, BASF, which offers innovative solutions for key local business sectors, generated sales of more than €70 billion in 2015 worldwide with its shares are traded on the stock exchanges in Frankfurt, London and Zurich.
BASF has been present in Pakistan for more than four decades and the company maintains offices in Karachi, Lahore, Kasur, Sialkot, and Islamabad supporting education and community development projects in the country.
BASF’s Crop Protection division provides innovative solutions for agriculture, turf and ornamental plants, pest control and public health. “Our broad portfolio of active ingredients, seed treatments, biological controls, formulations and services optimizes efficient production of high quality food and protects against post-harvest loss, damage to buildings and the transmission of disease,” the statement said.
