ISLAMABAD: Federal Board of Revenue Chairman Tariq Bajwa has visited large taxpayers to encourage them on their revenue collection efforts amid the current political situation in the country.
On the directive of the FBR chairman, member Inland Revenue Operation Muhammad Ashraf Khan visited RTOs in Islamabad and Rawalpindi and met chief commissioners and urged the field formation officers to gear up their efforts to achieve the revenue target of this fiscal year. They also lauded their efforts and achievements in revenue collection during the last few months. “The officers who have not shown efficiency will be changed,” he warned.
Sources told Customs Today that current political chaos has been causing no effect on revenue collections. They said that despite the prevailing political disturbance, field formation officers have collected more revenue than that of previous year.
