SYDNEY: After the increases on Wall Street whole night, the Australian stocks soared in early trade.
At 0656 AEDT on Friday, the March share price index futures contract was up 66 points at 5,229.
Wall Street stocks were up over one per cent, joining a surge in European markets amid rising oil prices and improved sentiment following Wednesday’s Federal Reserve meeting.
Locally on Friday, Incitec Pivot holds its annual general meeting, and in economic new Commonwealth Bank releases it business sales indicator for November.
In Australia on Thursday, energy and mining stocks have led the share market nearly one per cent higher.
The benchmark S&P/ASX200 index was up 48.9 points, or 0.95 per cent, at 5,210.8 points.
The broader All Ordinaries index was up 49.1 points, or 0.96 per cent, at 5,189.7 points.
